I've been working on doing breathing exercises with my diaphragm along with meditation, but last night, after my meditation session, I had awful nightmares and I woke up with a throbbing headache. I noticed the person in the link below also woke up with a headache after their meditation. Why does this happen? How can a female awaken kundalini safely and without a partner?

Kundalini is the power of the Divine Mother, and can only be awakened through sexual cooperation and love. That is the meaning of the word "matrimony." (See link below).

A Single person, whether male or female, can prepare for that awakening—and experience sparks of the fire—by purifying themselves psychologically and energetically, through meditation, pranayama, mantra, etc. There and hundreds of exercises that aid this process. I suggest you read Kundalini Yoga by Samael Aun Weor.

Headaches can have many causes, and without more information, it would be impossible for us to diagnose the cause of your experience. Based on your description, it could have been cause by strain.

Nightmares are in most cases experiences in which we are seeing the contents of our mind. That is why we meditate: to learn about the causes of our suffering, so we can remove them.
