A loved one recently started attending this group that offers "constellation" therapy, a type of therapeutic counseling groups that utilizes volunteers to represent people in a "patient's" life, such as someone related to a traumatic experience or a hard resentment. Other times, however, the "proctor" seems to use her incredible imagination to depict scenes of extreme trauma, death, violence, etc. These visions seem to often turn out to be true. Many people experience losing control of their bodies and acting out the scenes (i.e. craning of the neck and convulsing as if being hanged... turns out the "patient's" uncle died of suicide by hanging). Things like that that nobody could know, the person in charge of this somehow manages to know, attributing it to "entering within the cosmos".
This sounds an awful lot like mediumism, hypnotism, and possessions. Do the instructors know anything about this?

I would agree with your assessment. If people still have their egos and defects, then what can be expected from such events?
