I was reading Samael Aun Weor's Cosmic Ships, and in the Open Letter at the end, he signs the date April 29, 1965 as being the third year of Aquarius.

I thought this was interesting, because that would mean that 1962, the first year we entered into the Aquarian age, would be considered the zeroth year. In most calendars, traditionally there is no year zero, such as in our commonly used Gregorian calendar, there are only years -1 and 1.

If 1962 is the first year of Aquarius, that means 2023 is the 62nd year of Aquarius. If 1962 is year zero, as according to the aforementioned reference, then 2023 is the 61st year. If the latter is true, then that is very interesting. 2023 neurologically reduces to 7. 61 also reduces to 7. Both calendars would then reveal the same numerological influence.

Do the instructors know what year of Aquarius we are in, or whether Samael Aun Weor made a mistake in this case?

So, according to you, his Open Letter at the end, should be signed more precise.

So, it should be written exactly as follows:

3 accomplished years (third year of Aquarius), and 2 months with 25 days of the 4th year of Aquarius – 1965.

Yes, Both calendars would reveal the same numerological influence (7), so this 4th of February 2023 (7) will be the end of the year 61 (7) and the beginning of the year 62 (8) of Aquarius.

So there is a difference between the two calendars. January 1 - December 31 (2023) shows 7. Now February 4 2023 - February 3 2024 (62nd Aquarian Year) shows 8.

These dates mostly overlap, the Gregorian calendar indicating 7 and the Aquarian calendar indicating 8.

Reflecting on 2023 I found Arcanum 7, Triumph, and Arcanum 23, the Plower. But the Aquarian year is 62, and Arcanum 8. Which should be more important for interpretation?

I would say that both can be important since Kabbalah is dynamic. The problem with some approaches to calendars is that people become rigid with their application and interpretation.

It is necessary to examine how the arcana play out in our lives. 2023 can be a year of both triumph and patience in ordeals. However, it is necessary to see if this is our particular case, whether we are working effectively or not by living out the arcana.
