Hi Instructors,

When relaxing during meditation to get out of the body if I have too much awareness I find I get trapped in mental, emotional, and physical activity, especially tension around my eyes. Is it ok to dull down that awareness to help me relax further? Finding the perfect balance between being too attentive and not attentive enough?

Thank you kindly for any guidance.
Perhaps reflect upon the difference between attention and tension.

The problem is not attention, it is attachment to things that you perceive because you have become attentive.

That being said, you should relax as much as possible, and any time you find tension, relax in all three brains, and in the mind.

But don't loose your awareness.
