What I wonder is, why is that we have to cast a circle of protection at all to protect ourselves from forces of darkness? If we are on the path, in chastity transmuting the energies daily, always in self observation and self remembrance, transforming impressions, dying to ourselves, meditating and annihilating our egos and all the other factors which relate to the work, wouldn't we just be protected by our innermost without having to ask, and needing to recite the belilin, or jupiter, or helion melion tetragramaton prayers, whether tracing a circle, visualizing a pentagram and whatnot each and every time we fall asleep?

If we dont, then what are we to expect? Being like asleep unconscious animals and attacked by forces of darkness into coercion to fornicate in the astral plane and spill our sexual energies? Wouldnt our innerbeing put a stop to this and protect his/her child from these dark forces? What exactly are we protecting ourselves from? Can an example be given if say someone is on the path and dont ever recite any prayers before sleep nor has any pentagram on their wall, mustard seeds in the corners of the room, uses sage or any other incense to cleanse the environment?

I feel we are more or less "targets" to these forces being on the "path".. And have had alot of different dreams where it would seem I was being persistently coerced to engage in sexual acts which I would refuse.. I guess what frustrates me sometimes is feeling like sometimes the forces of darkness can just have their way with us and nobody is there to protect us.. Like we are really naive children that are dreaming unconsciously and can be easily manipulated and God just lets it happen...

A good parent lets the child learn from experience, gives the child only what it earns, and encourages the child to be self-reliant, independent, and capable of performing whatever action is needed to achieve an intended goal. This is harder—both for the parent and the child—because the child suffers, and the parent suffers seeing the beloved child suffer. Yet, there is no other way to grow, become strong, and survive.

A bad parent gives the child whatever it wants, and therefore the child never learns to do anything itself.

Your inner Being is a good parent, not a bad one.

If you are being attacked, it is because you established the causes for those attacks in the past. Unless you learn how to change those actions, you will continue to repeat those actions, whether physically or internally.

Your Being protects you from the worst of your karma. If all of your karma were allowed to express right now, you would not be here.
