Apologies if this question has already been asked; if we are working with a mantra daily, most likely it will be non verbal, keeping it mental during our activities. How would it be better to proceed when we need to think about the task at hand or when our attention is needed due to our activity being a bit more complex? Should we suspend the mantra and come back to it when there is less demand from us?

Thank you.

In the beginning yes. But with training, one learns to remember divinity even while using the intellect and reciting mantras within one’s being.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
