Instructors,
Seeing images in deep meditation from the ineffable beyond has been absolutely precious in the Great War on egos.
The problem is that the drowsy state is so elusive, even after trying various things like less sleep, working out constantly, diet, time of day, methodical relaxation, different asanas, and concentration (for years......).
Do you have any techniques that help specifically in "cultivating drowsiness" for this purpose? Some of us are light sleepers and find it very difficult to be sleepy. It's like trying to submerge a beach ball below the water.
Thank you so much,
Winter

Have you tried drinking chamomile or passion flower tea? These are wonderful for cultivating relaxation and drowsiness.
For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
