When Jesus was about to die why did he proclaim 'God, why have you forsaken me?'
Jesus was one of the best among us, with a direct connection with God. So then why did he feel the need to talk as if God was no longer with him or on his side? I understand that he was a man of flesh and blood just like us, (albeit with a vastly superior spirit) so could it just be chalked down to the pain and distress his human self was feeling? Or did he really mean what he said? Any insight would be appreciated
