Samael Aun Weor gave suggestions for creating an altar in both The Yellow Book and Esoteric Medicine and Practical Magic. Basically, you can use a white tablecloth, a pentagram, a glass of water, and a candle, along with whatever personal items you wish to utilize. You can use a simple table for your altar; it does not need to be fancy. What matters is how you practice.
