Master Samael talks about the Initiator Element in dreams on different occasions. What is the nature of such an element?
A practical example: oftentimes I record dreams of me being in a certain location, where I used to live long ago. Again and again I fail to be amazed, that I am there. Also I fail to be amazed by details, that should not be there. And that I talk to people that I have not met for years and who have grown up by now.

- Could dreaming repeatedly of the same place be an Initiator Element?
- Is this element a sort of test for the level of our (lacking) awareness?
The Initiator Element is recurring and can constitute anything: a place, situation, individual, object, symbol, or spiritual state.
The Initiator Element is meant to wake us up because we are very asleep. By recognizing a recurring dream / symbol, we acquire greater awareness that we’re in the astral.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
