Are there certain practices/teachings to incorporate into our lives in order to trust God more? I ask this because I have identified an ego within me that only trusts myself. Whenever I don't understand something about myself or other people, I do not trust God to have the answers either. My state of ignorance entails the belief that everyone else is also ignorant. And then a cloud of darkness emerges within my mind with no light at the end of the tunnel. It leads to spiritual suffocation and anguish. How do I combat this? I am tired of being so ignorant of the divine. I feel as though God has left my world and there is only three-dimensional earthliness in my reality. But I understand that this is a fault of my own, not of God. I just need help realizing that fact

I hope you understand my dilemma and the context behind my question

We are closer to him than his jugular vein. —Qur’an 50:16
Divinity never abandons us. We abandon God whenever we identify with the mind. Despair, pessimism, doubt, fear, anxiety, shame, morbidity, and pain are defects. However:
The greatest joy for the Gnostic is to celebrate the discovery of some of his defects. A discovered defect becomes a dead defect. —Samael Aun Weor, The Elimination of Satan’s Tail
Also, people lack faith because they do not awaken consciousness here and in the internal worlds. To awaken, meditation is essential.

Whenever you feel depleted, sorrowful, sad, or dark, I recommend you practice the runes and charge your soul with divine power. Do so asking to remember God!

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
