Came across this video of the life of Buddha. at 4:29:50 - 4:31:12 one of Budda's Bhikkhus "Ananda" asked him a series of questions minutes before he past away.
.
"Ananda: Lord Buddha In this Celibate life one often encounters women. Some are mothers, sisters and relatives of monks. Others are those with faith in the Triple Gem.
Ananda: How should a Bhikkhu practise in relation to women?
Buddha: A Bhikkhu ought not look at a women at all. It is better this way.
Ananda: But if a Bhikkhu must see women, how should he behave towards them?
Buddha: Ananda, if its necessary to see women, they ought not to engage in conversation with them. It is better this way.
Ananda: If its necessary to converse with women, how should a Bhikkhu practise?
Budddha: In that case a Bhikku should have well-controlled mindfulness and sense restraint. He should have orderly speech. And guard his mind from falling prey to lust and infatuation... The beautiful things of this world themselves are not "sense-desire. But the lust that arises in ones mind due to unwholesome intention that is a person's sense-desire. Once one has abandoned pleasure in unwholesome states, the beautiful objects of this world still exist. But there's no way one can be harmed by them.
Question: We know that when Sujata ["good birth"] or Sahaja Maithuna, gave Buddha the bowl "rice milk"[sexual transmutation]. However as an ascetic in the forest he killed his desires by starvation. So that one above quote "rice bowl" symbolically states that he found the middle path, sexual magic after he starved his desires, especially lust?
Why did the Monk / Nun union after comprehension and starvation wasn't practiced in the past and today still not practiced?
Why is a Celibate life still practiced with gnosis or the Dharma when they know that Divine Mother is the only one that liberates?
