Dear Instructors

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

On the Cosmic Ships page are a list of "Sample Chapters". Does this mean that the hardcopy version of the book has additional chapters?

Thank you.

It depends on the book. For some of the books, the sample chapters represent only a subset of the chapters available in the hard copy. For other books, the "sample" is the whole book (though it may not be the latest edition of the book). In general, we strive to make the full book available to read for free on the website, because our goal is to share the teachings with humanity, however many of the books are very, very large and we have not yet had the opportunity to put all of the chapters online, and do not always have the time to update the website every time we put a new edition out in print.

In the case of Cosmic Ships, it looks like the online edition has all but two of the chapters found in the hard copy. The two missing chapters are "New York's Blackout" and "The Consequences of the Comet Kondoor." However, it looks like both of those chapters may be available to read in other parts of the site. Gazing at the Mystery (linked below) has a chapter called "New York's Blackout," and there is a lecture called "The Consequences of the Comet Kondoor" (also linked below).

I do not have access to my physical copy of Cosmic Ships at the moment to confirm whether those two chapters are the same as what you would find in Cosmic Ships, but I strongly suspect they are, and they were most likely not included in the online version simply because they were available to read elsewhere on the site.
