fate and karma
I understand that the fate of every human is the result of his karma from past lives. How about the people who have successful fates but are evil. Meaning they lead an easy fortunate life but are evil at heart and do evil deeds. Does this mean that in past lives they were good and have earned good fates but eventually became evil souls? Is this possible?
Everybody’s karma corresponds with the actions they commit. It may seem different due to the timing of when that karma is applied, but make no mistake, everyone will reap what they sow. Every action has a consequence. The timing is in accordance with divinity and it might not be applied until a later life.
For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it [i.e., the revelation] the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly. -Qur'an 6:110
And let not those who disbelieve imagine that the rein We give them bodeth good unto their souls. We only give them rein that they may grow in sinfulness. And theirs will be a shameful doom. -Quran 3:172

So why are some of us reprimanded with hard karmas for sinning and others are not? why are others left to grow in sinfulness while some of us are corrected? Or maybe only God knows
See the story of Moses (Tiphereth) and Khidr (Melchizedek, a solar logos of Kether, Chokmah, and Binah) in Surah 18: The Cave of the Qur’an:
65 There they found a servant from among Our servants whom We had granted a mercy from Us and whom We had taught knowledge from Our Presence. 66 Moses said unto him, “Shall I follow thee, that thou mightest teach me some of that which thou hast been taught of sound judgment?” 67 He said, “Truly thou wilt not be able to bear patiently with me. 68 And how canst thou bear patiently that which thou dost not encompass in awareness?”
