What exactly are we dealing with here? Many believe it's the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, but I am inclined to trust what the Master says about the Solar/Lunar event of 1962. It just makes more sense, like everything else he taught us.
It has been stated there will be a planetary alignment. If so, what does it mean?
Or is there some other thing, maybe nothing?

Some people, including certain Gnostic groups, claimed that the end of the world would occur around this time. Looks like we're still here! 
I am not awakened enough to comment on the energetic, psychic and spiritual influences of our solar system's planetary alignment, but if you are to awaken within the astral plane, you could easily investigate this matter. Internal experience is certainly better than any answer you can receive on a forum.

Okay, well according to certain Astrotheologists, it is a galactic alignment, not planetary. And the Mayan prophecies seem to indicate something related to that, also indicating our solar system is swinging back around to the central galactic sun. Which will take us into a new golden age.
I never was considering the "end of the world" hype. Things don't really work that way.
