This can easily turn into the longest thread on this forum, so I will keep this first post short.
My Being wants me to get my masters in English from the University down the road. As an undergraduate from about 2007-2015 I misused and abused my intellect. But I got an English degree from the (self-proclaimed) top English-program in the country, Vanderbilt. It was ridiculous. I am not that cerebrally smart, yet I was able to push myself to getting a degree.
So, how do I ethically return to school without breaking my brain again? By "ethically" I refer to conscientiously playing the game that we call the "education system" i.e. writing papers that are not true to my soul, going to insipid classes that no-one wants to be at, and studying Shakespeare through the distorted lens of scholastic busy-work so as to become "qualified" to teach English at junior college here soon.
I could write a thesis about my experience with college... And I might! But for now, if you could point me in the write direction of how to appropriately approach the descent into the hell of college, I would appreciate it.

If your Being truly wants you to acquire another degree, then you will discover your capacities for transforming such experiences by connecting with Him and Her in meditation. There is no other way to develop comprehension, and therefore overcome the resistance your mind evokes when approaching undesirable or difficult endeavors. Something to consider as well: if you do not enjoy what you are doing in higher education, then it would be good to re-evaluate what you really want and what your Being truly demands of you, since it is easy to attribute our own desires onto divinity, ignoring what is most obvious in the daily facts of our life, such as the pursuit of something that is unnecessary, counterproductive, or futile. However, only you can know what you need to do when you have the direct experience in meditation or dream yoga.
Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.
Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
