Hello! This question comes from the "care for your temple" series #6 about water. I have been searching for clean water for many years and although I came to the same conclusion as the instructor (that the berkey system would be the best for the needs of my family) I became extremely disheartened while reading the terrible reviews given on amazon. Perhaps the claims of poor quality are unfounded. Does anyone have personal experience to share on this topic? Would the instructor please give an update as to how the system has been performing? I own a filtration system from the company you mentioned above and it has worked very well (noticeably improved the taste of my tap water). I also did some research before making the purchase and found that there were no systems that did not receive negative reviews of some kind. If you're looking for a quality filtration system, I would recommend it. Also, most businesses like these offer returns if you encounter problems and decide to look elsewhere.

Thank you for your response. When I drink traditionally filtered tap water I feel a sickening metallic taste in my mouth that goes away after drinking certain bottled water for a while. Unfortunately plastic bottles are not good for our bodies or this natural world. Has anyone ever experienced this? I have heard and read that there is floride added to our water and that this gathers in and calcifies the pineal gland. Does anyone have any knowledge to this notion? Please share with us if you have found safe drinking water and how. Thank you.
