I have heard the Master Samael Aun Weor talk in a sort of admonishing way toward the FreeMasons for "losing the secret of alchemy" about 200 years or so ago. This gave me the feeling that he did not care to belong to any of these organizations but I could not tell if it was just because they did not openly teach sexual alchemy any longer or if it was due to their secrecy and pyramid-like social hierarchy.

"That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:4

Many people in my family have been highly involved in the Masons and Shriners and Templars and Order of the Eastern star and Knights of Malta and the Red Cross and the list doth truly go on! As a sincere student of the truth, I seek wisdom on these organizations for apprehension that they will ask me to join them soon. All of their symbology is similar to ours but why do we as Gnostics choose to be so open and transparent with the divine knowledge (sexual alchemy) whilst these countless organizations require a life of service in return as a sort of payment for the secrets we openly preach? I've heard talk about how the Masons make you promise 7 generations of sons to the service of BAAl, I believe this to be some sort of distortion on the understanding of gematria but I am uncertain as to the true meaning.

With Gratitude, I await your perspective, Nate.

Secrecy is a quality of the Piscean era.

Piscean groups are tombs full of bones.

We have such a short life to live. If you already have access to the full teachings, what can be gained by getting involved with fornicators and a skeleton from the past?

In the past, there were great schools of mysteries: these schools of mysteries were in Egypt, Eleusis, Troy, Rome, Carthage, Babylon, among the Aztecs, Incas, Druids, etc. At that time, only the priests of privileged castes were allowed to enter into initiation; then, the entire drama of “the Passion of the Lord” was represented within those temples of mysteries. But then our Lord the Christ came and publicly opened the path of initiation for all human beings. Hence, what is remarkable about Jesus Christ is the fact of having publicly represented this drama upon the old roads of Jerusalem. This is how he opened the doors of the temple for all human beings.

“Ask and it shall be given you. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto light, and few there be that find it.” —Matthew 7: 7, 14

“Among a thousand who seek me, one finds me. Among a thousand who find me, one follows me. And among a thousand who follow me, one is mine.” –Bhagavad-Gita

When the black age dawned, the schools of mysteries were closed in the physical world. Now, we have to seek those schools within, very deep within our consciousness.

Secrecy was necessary in the previous era (Pisces). That era began to end in 1950, and the doors to the knowledge were fully opened by the 1960s when the Aquarian era began. What was esoteric in Pisces was revealed in Aquarius.

Unfortunately, religions and groups proudly retain their Piscean mentality, which demonstrates that they are totally asleep and crystallized in the forms of the past: ie. tombs full of bones.

It is also abundantly evident that practically none of the Piscean groups retained the most important Piscean esotericism: sexual transmutation. Piscean groups are filled with people who are very proud of their pseudo-esotericism and precious fornication.

All of this is explained throughout the books.

Let me also clarify that "secrecy" is perhaps not the correct word to use in relation with esotericism, particularly in the Aquarian era.

There are no authentic "esoteric" groups in the physical world. If something is taught in the physical world, it is not esoteric, but exoteric. As you see on this website and in the books. what was formerly esoteric is no longer.

Actual esotericism is not available in the physical world. It can only be learned in the astral world. This is not due to "secrecy" but the maturity required of the student, similar to how university classes are not taught to five year olds. To receive knowledge, one has to be capable of understanding and using it.

The authentic schools of mystery are found in the astral plane. This is why it is necessary for the disciple to learn how to “separate” the astral body from the physical body. It is necessary for the student to learn how to enter into those sanctuaries of inner instruction in order to receive direct instruction from the masters...

Whosoever wants to learn esoteric science has to travel in the astral body, because esoteric science is studied in the internal worlds, and esoteric science is learned only by personally conversing with the masters.

The only possible reason I could see for secrecy would be to keep the knowledge out of the hands of those who would do harm with it or to those who study it in hopes of keeping that power for themselves. Is it not so that this knowledge was kept secret till the time of Madam Blavatsky for fear of creating demons?
