Hello Everyone

Hope you are well! My dark shocks have never ceased, although I have implemented everything that I know to do, including your advice Almustafa. No disrespect intended. :)

These dark shocks are keeping me from meditating deeply, astral projecting, having peace.

At least I am not afraid of these "shadows" in my psyche, as much.

I have a benign tumor on my pituitary gland, which as we know regulates drowsiness (I think). Hopefully, we can get it removed soon. Is it possible that this health issue is causing dark, very uncomfortable, ultimately unbearable road blocks in my meditation?

Really the issue is that my body tenses up, and my attention is forced into my body which starts to feel like what I imagine a bit of hell feels like, as I get drowsy during my meditation/conscious sleeping and start to move into deeper states of meditation. That is really the "dark shock" that I am referring to. Sometimes I just sit/lie with it, but there is really no point because the more I fight it the stronger it gets, even with prayers, mantras, conjurations, and deeper relaxation.

It is quite disconcerting and a serious obstacle to my practice.

If you could provide any advice on how to deal with the problem, I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,
Adam

Note the first stages of yoga that lead to meditation:

1. Yama/ niyama: ethics
2. Asana: relaxation
3. Pranayama: transmutation

Focus on these three.

Transmutation can help with "shocks", because it leads towards clearing nadis of stagnation. However, pranayama depends on the first two stages. Since you are still not relaxed (2), study your ethics (1). When your ethics are good, relaxation occurs naturally.

You might consider doing more pranayama each day, as you work on the first two steps.

What transmutation practice are you doing and for how long per day?

Sexual: For the past several months, I have been doing at least 10 minutes of different types of pranayama, more recently it has been bumped up to 30 minutes or so. However, I have also been trying to be aware of the breath a do a casual pranayama anytime I am breathing, so we could kind of say 2-4 hours of pranayma total. I have also been working with the vajroli mudra, too intensely I realized a few days ago and try to keep a gentle heat with much attention through out the day, but I have very low testosterone. I have also been doing 20-60 minutes of vocalization, and mental japa for about 4-8 hours throughout the day. I have recently been getting back into the Sacred Rites for Rejuvenation for about 30 minutes thrice a week, but I am still on the first week.

Psychologically: Not really sure what I am talking about here, but I can try. I have been trying to break down the elements of the Zodiacal influences that are active at any particular time. 2-3 days ago I started working with the tattvas. Thirdly, basic low level alchemy of my psychological state, i.e. pride, anger, fear, lust. While I was writing this, my muscles and psychology started to tense up, causing the basic attitude of, "OMG! I gotta finish this post up and go to the next thing, etc." This shows a psycho-somatic relationship.

On an ancillary note: I watched the FARAON video last night and noticed that my body started tensing up after 20 minutes or so. It was a strong ordeal to push through, but having a distraction (the video, my accompanying japa, etc.) helped me get through it. I heard on a lecture that the body's muscles start falling asleep after about 20 min. One last thing that seems relevant is that my chiropractor says that my trapezoids are very tight and hard. I have carried a lot of my tension there for several years. We talked about how I used to pop my neck a lot and that the muscles and joints are slightly damaged causing the trapezoids to tighten up. This entire body muscle tension and psycho-somatic darkness may just be referred tension from that area. Just a thought.

Your question is surprising and intriguing.

Thanks, Alexis!
