Dear instructors,

How can one navigate the issue of chronic pain that affects quality of life, such as being able to walk or sit comfortably? By chronic, I mean pain which does not seem to get better, or worsens, over a long period of time despite conservative treatments. I suppose the question can be broadened to suffering from any affliction which significantly disrupts or distracts from daily life.

In particular, the loss of mobility can be defeating especially if one hopes to preserve the health of the physical body.

Are the sacred rites of rejuvenation advisable for these instances, or is there perhaps a karmic obstacle that must be overcome first, either by enduring the pain or strengthening the efforts in our work? Are there specific prayers which are best?

Many thanks.

Practice the sacred rites in accordance with your abilities. One should not strain during the exercises, since what matters most is the depth and clarity of one’s visualization, concentration, and prayer.

The best prayer comes from the heart, when we supplicate the Divine Mother to intercede on our behalf before the Holy Ghost for healing.

Obstacles and suffering can be negotiated with the Lords of the Law, since it is not necessary to suffer mechanically in life when one knows how to negotiate with the divine hierarchies. However, understand that every Dharmic transaction requires its payment, i.e. service and sacrifice for humanity, good works, compassionate deeds.

Thank you, Almustafa. I am working with the rites daily and serving others to my capacity.

Upon reflection, do you think it is a coincidence that my pain and obstacles increased when I began treading more seriously on the path (as in strict chastity, more transmutation, meditation)? I am just trying to see this in a broader context, especially since modern medicine has proved unhelpful and many specialists seem confused about my case.

Blessings.

Hardship and karma is inevitable. When we enter the path, we initiate the process of purification through ordeals, since difficulties are necessary for change. Only you can discover the unique causes of your particular situation through meditation and internal experiences.
