In the book "Dayspring of Youth", why has it been written that a [Western] student should not "sit cross-legged in his practices as in the East, for the Western body is not adapted for this posture" ?

With reference to the 'Götterdämmerung Transcription',

Who is this Gutrune? Why does one have a Hebraic Eve? Are the fates of Sigfried and Gutrune intertwined? Meaning, will (/have) they always rise(n) and fall(en) together? Why did both of them fall together and rise together?

Thank you.
One should practice in whatever asana is comfortable and conducive for entering a state of meditation. For many Westerners, Eastern asanas can be challenging. Therefore, work with whatever posture is best for you. As for Gertrude, she is an adept of the White Lodge, whom Siegfried fell with in a past life. Götterdämmerung relates how high initiates who fell in a past root race, such as in Lemuria, have to rise again through practicing alchemy with the person they fell with. To overcome Katancia, Karmasaya and Kamaduro (Hagen), one must return to their point of origin to rectify the issue, even when it causes great conflict, confusion, and moral pain, as evidenced by Brünnhilde and the Gibichung initiates.
