Is it possible to get an overview of the primary known groups that are teaching the Gnosis of Samael Aun Weor? I have been doing research but it is difficult to find any comprehensive overview of the current political situation worldwide. Links to articles and/or an historical explanation would be greatly appreciated.
I first started my own individual study by listening to lectures from Glorian. Later I found there was a local centre near where I live which I have been attending ever since while I continue to regularly listen to lectures from Glorian. The society my group belongs to is The Gnostic Society Samael Aun Weor as seen on gnosistr.com. There is also the Gnostic Institute of Anthropology which I do not know much about except that it is from the lineage of Litelantes. It seems there are many other groups as well. I am curious to the origins of Glorian and Chicago Gnosis, although I respect that that is not the focus here. The focus is clearly the free and open distribution of the teachings which is why I love this resource.
I do not want to become involved in any political speculations etc. I simply wish to get an overview for the benefit of my own self directed study. For instance, what is the difference between the presentation of the three chambers as given by the Glorian society and the The Gnostic Society Samael Aun Weor? I have only just noticed that the three books in our introductory chamber appear to be compiled by the coordinator of the society. I had originally assumed these books were written by Samael. Did Samael not leave specific books with instructions on what information to deliver in each chamber? Otherwise how would instructors from different societies know how to coordinate the three chambers in the same manner?
I am also wondering where these societies overlap in terms of content, communication and interactions. Do international retreats include the presence of multiple societies converging together and sharing knowledge and experiences together? Or do these societies have their international retreats separate to one another even if they are held in the same country? I do not want to miss out on retreats from one society because I am in a different society etc.
I wish to proceed in Gnosis in the most unified way possible even if it is only the physical world we are speaking of. So therefore I see it necessary to have some knowledge of the various groups sharing the knowledge so that I may have the ability to navigate my way between them to find the core. In the same way that an aspirant may navigate between Buddhism and Christianity in order to find the universally shared religion.

Astral Projections and Kabbalah are an integral whole.
There is a state of transition between vigil and sleep; every human being is involuntarily projected out of the physical body in that moment. Yet, by paying attention, we can be voluntarily and consciously projected out of the physical body in that moment of transition that exist between vigil and sleep; to that effect, what is important is to watch our sleep. This is how we can astrally get up from our bed and leave towards the Gnostic Church.
Our Lord the Christ officiates in the Gnostic Church.
So, all our disciples have to do is watch their sleep and get up from their bed in the moment when they enter into a slumber state. This must be performed with actions. Do not assume that this is a mental exercise, and do not think that you must get up mentally: we repeat again that we must get up with action; we must get up naturally, as when we physically do it every morning.
This is how we can transport ourselves in the Astral Body to the White Lodge in order to study at the feet of the master. This is not dangerous because everybody comes out in their Astral Body. This is better than stuffing our heads (as bookworms) with books and theories [about schools, movements, politics, "masters" etc]. Too many theories confuse; theories falsify the mind and damage the brain.

I agree wholeheartedly with your answer. I was expecting an answer like this. Although I'm still naturally curious about an answer to the original question.
This answer also brings up a couple more questions. Do you mean I should not worry about physically attending gnostic schools? And should instead conduct my own solo study? Or just that I should make this my priority?
Also if schools are not important and are not worth investigating then what is the purpose of the three chambers? Are the three chambers not a system designed for instructing students in the physical world towards the inner worlds?
It is natural that every physical school or tradition will degenerate in this kali yuga. They are temporal and therefore we should not place our faith in them. This is clear. However, they are tools. Is it not worth knowing how sharp a tool is? Or knowing what different tools are available? Even if they are supplementary to the tools inside us... But these supplementary tools also show us how to find and use our inner tools.
The three chambers are organized internally. First chamber is public instruction, which you are getting in the books and lectures. For second and third chamber, they are primarily internal; there is a physical component, but you would have to live near a school that maintains it, and such places are quite rare. Ultimately, membership in the second and third chambers is not determined physically, and one does not have to attend physically, which is why the books repeatedly encourage us to attend astrally.
