Personally, I prefer to pronounce mantras mentally versus physically vocalising them. Obviously, pronouncing them mentally I can be chanting the mantra while around other people at work, ect. ect. and no one knows I'm chanting the mantras. I have found through my own experience that they help immensely with training mindfulness, self-observation, self-remembering, especially when combined with visualization of the energy vibrating in the different centers related with those parts of the body, ect. My question is is there any benifits that I am missing out on by only vocalising the mantras mentally? The mantra I have been working with most recently is Egipto, in order to develop the glands and organs that will help with astral projection as well as the other faculties that are awakening when we energize these organs and glands, as explained by Samael Aun Weor in The Seven Words. Personally I feel my thyroid gland, pineal gland, and heart activated just by pronouncing this mantra mentally while vizualising these centers being activated by energy in the form of light throughout my day. Can pronouncing this mantra mentally activate these organs and glands just as much as when vocalized physically? Or are there certain mantras that are meant to be vocalized physically and not mentally?
I believe in the lecture "Christ, Mantra, Mind Protection" the instructor said that pronouncing mantras in the mental plane is more powerful.
Thank you for all that you do! These teachings have changed my life in the most beautiful and profound way through daily application and practice. Inverential Peace!

Mantras are most powerful from within, since they require deeper attention, concentration, and presence. However, vocalizing mantras aloud, such as with the runes, charges our physical glands with tremendous force. Personally, I like to work with both in combination, since by working from within to without, and without to within, we become well-rounded spiritually.

Any mantra can be pronounced aloud, in whisper, or in silence. Mantras in alchemy can be performed aloud with great effect, or if you must work in silence, that will aid you too.

Something is created when we speak. Something is gestated. Combined with sexual transmutation, we develop the uterus or throat of the gods, which bear forth the ineffable Word.

After reflecting on it, I do vocalize the "sah" part of the Ham-Sah mantra when doing my daily transmutation with pranayama. I also prefer to pray to all of the superlative aspects of my Being mentally, I find it is much more intimate and I can concentrate better. From what I've read and understand, when we have a spouse and we are doing our daily transmutation practices we should be vocalizing our mantras and prayers physically so our spouse can synchronize with us, correct? Other than those situations though is there any mantras that are meant to be pronounced physically and not mentally?
