Kind Regards to Each and All of You!

Hope you are well. Today our family received a new member, a fig tree, per the perfectly particularized suggestion of a Distance Learning Course Instructor. We love the new little fig tree and want to do everything possible to make it feel at home. I would personally feel closer to our plants if they had names but do not know what the plants think about it, nor am I exactly able to communicate with the elementals enough to find out.

It seems like it could be a bunch of supercilious silliness to name them. People name their pets, and there does not seem to be much difference between plants and pets.

A few years ago, my Mom was watering our Aloe plants and asked me if it is okay to give them names. I did not say anything since we were in their presence. A few days later, I said that I do not think that there is anything wrong with it. For example, she came up with the name, "Alley V." We do not use names, yet we would like to.

If you could help us out with this situation, we would appreciate it.

Sincerely,
The Gills

An addendum

I forgot to include this part. V.M. Samael Aun Weor talks somewhere about animals living and growing horizontally while plants live vertically, or something like that. Is it okay to walk around the block with the fig tree, even though plants are designed to be stationary?

Thanks!

Naming your household plants or pets is a personal choice.

I am uncertain regarding the utility of walking with a potted plant in your neighborhood. Your plant does not need that to be healthy. Just be sure to follow regular guidelines for watering, feeding, nourishing, and providing enough sunlight for your plants.
