Demons like Moloch who are very powerful, awaken but negatively so have to go through the second death, but this would be very slow and painful as they had the existential bodies. Now what I would like to know is if they would be conscious during this second death? As they devolve through all the kingdoms would they be cognisant of this devolution?

Those archdemons are very awake in the ego, and will have to suffer devolution for many eternities. Such a state is incomprehensibly painful because one knows one is degenerating. All souls eventually awaken in evil when devolving in hell (specifically the fifth sphere: Mars) because one must become conscious of one's errors, whether through initiation or through failure.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

In the case of beelzebub, how was he able to develop bodhichitta? With his cruel past?

Samael Aun Weor internally observed Beelzebub's unique aura: a blue light of love for his disciples of black magic. There is much virtue in the villain and villainy in the virtuous.

However, no one would be able to achieve religion without divine mercy, which in the case of Beelzebub, was granted unto him by the Logos Samael.

Since a prince of demons can repent, this is cause for great inspiration and triumph!

Okay, it make sense!
On what basis is one afforded Divine mercy while another is not?

Karma?

It cannot be random...

133 And hasten unto forgiveness from your Lord, and for a garden whose breadth is the heavens and the earth—prepared for the reverent, 134 who spend in ease and hardship, and curb their rage, and pardon others—and God loves the virtuous— 135 and who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God and then seek forgiveness for their sins—and who forgives sins but God?—and who do not knowingly persist in what they have done. 136 For these, their reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers running below, abiding therein. Blessed indeed is the reward of the workers [of righteousness]! —Al-Imran
