"A bed should be placed in such a way that the head is facing north."

When Master Samael states to put our head to the north (in the context of dream yoga, astral projections), could that also mean to "focus on the pineal gland" when going to bed? I know that the quote is quite literal, but could this also have a deeper meaning?

Yes, you can concentrate on the Far East, the symbolic pineal gland, so as to project from there and experience a profound samadhi in the superior worlds.

The Middle East is Tiphereth, where the sun rises, the heart.

The West is Malkuth, where the sun sets: our feet.

The North is our right arm: Mercy.

The South is the left arm: Severity.

The four directions also apply to the Tree of Life:

Almustafa, in order to project and have a samadhi in the superior worlds using this technique, is it sufficient to concentrate on the pineal gland or concentrate on the corresponding chakra?
