Greetings instructors,

Today I have a questions in regards to an experience that I had.
When I went to sleep, I woke up in the dream (A dream within a dream thing)
in a room basically identical to my room. I opened my eyes in that dream and
noticed in my peripheral vision, a dark shadow. Immediately I thought "Oh no,
not one of these possession/sleep paralysis things again!" I then closed my eyes
again to gather some willpower to face whatever it was. When I opened
my eyes again it was only a phantom of myself hovering over me, which was a black
and vaporous kind of phantom, with a grin hard to describe. It wasn't scary,
nor was it amusing. I've most definitely seen these before with different
characteristics. But this time I reached out my arm and noticed that my arm
went straight through, confirming it's an empty vessel of myself, an ego.
It wasn't very talkative and I returned to my body rather quickly after that.

I learned a lot from that experience, but some questions still remained.

Since these looks exactly like the description of a lunar body, is there a distinct difference
between an ego and the lunar astral body that we use to travel with? Or are we basically
shape-shifting between these different characteristics of ourselves? Because I have
basically hovered over people in the exact same way like this one in similar "dreams".

Best regards

Egos can enter and leave our lunar astral vehicle, appearing before us as separate entities or expressing within ourselves here and now.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
