i dont believe majority of the population is evil, but we all do struggle with evil tendencies like anger, jealousy, or vanity, but we all have consciences in the back of our mind saying not to be angry, jealous, or vain. However it seems like more of the population is struggling with other sins that dont personally strike me as evil,, such as laziness, gluttony, and addiction and often we have less or no conscience regarding these sins than the ones that strain our morals. For example, over 90% of our population struggles with addiction whether its potato chips, caffeine, weed, gambling, sex, etc, however these are personal struggles that usually do not impact others negatively and depending on the addiction its usually rare for there to be any straining of the conscience, Could majority of the population be descending without being evil? Seems like were struggling at not descending into animals but i find us not too be evil, we just do evil things at times when we loose control but we always feel remorse.

Examine the facts of humanity. Is the world getting better or worse?

The individual is an extension of society, and vice versa.

If society is getting worse, it is because the individual is degenerating, without exception.

Lust produces all the evils of the world, as evidenced by the story of Pandora. Sexual curiosity, entering fornication, leads to all sorrow, the opening of the box of evil.
