Samael Aun Weor: I do not know why some want women to be relegated to an inferior level. The harsh reality of the facts is that women have the same rights as men; that is obvious. Like any man, women also have to create their existential superior bodies of the Being. Like any man, they must incarnate their Human Soul. Like any man, they have to betroth their Buddhi, to marry their beloved one. So, I do not know why some want to relegate women to an inferior level. The harsh reality of the facts is that women, those who are women in the physical plane, are men in the astral plane and vice versa. Men here in this physical plane are men, but, whether they like it or not, in the astral world they are women. So, why do men in this physical world want to relegate women to an inferior level?

I am not quite sure how to understand that one could be a man here in the physical yet in the astral a woman and vice versa, how is this so? Is there any harm if one finds themselves to be the opposite gender while in the astral? The Master also stated that as a man the spiritual soul is feminine yet if one is female the spiritual soul is masculine, is this purely because of ones physical gender or is there more to it?

We mistakenly believe we are the physical body, and it is solid and consistent. We suffer from the illusion of solidity, and do not perceive the reality.

The reality of our true nature is as light (consciousness). Our light is heavily modified by its conditioning. At this moment, that light is conditioned by dense materials we call sephiroth or bodies. Each sephirah or body (form) modifies that light according to its nature. Imagine a series of mirrors or lenses that direct light: each mirror or lens changes the light as it projects it forward. What we call "gender" is one such modification: one side of a polarity, required by nature at certain levels of density, such as here in the physical world. In the physical world, gender is a function of physical reproduction. It is only a temporary condition that modifies the light briefly, when it is incarnated in this level. When the light leaves this level (at death), that condition is removed (the gender is destroyed). Similarly, all of the lower sephiroth "flip" the light back and forth as "gender." The light itself remains the same: it only "appears" in different genders according to karma. Its true nature has no gender. That is why the gods are androgynous: they have no gender, but only manifest with gender according to the momentary need.
