Hello all,

I have recently read about Liszt's many girlfriends that he had around Europe. Is this true? Or is this more black lodge misinterpretation?

Kind regards
Controversy always surrounds the lives of the initiates: Beethoven, Wagner, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, etc. This is because no one understands or likes humility or chastity...

His music is so beautiful, especially his Christus. It is so hard to believe he was so amorous. I have read he was like Don Juan, etc. It almost tarnishes the entire meaning and beauty of his work. The superior states and heights his music reaches, etc, seen now through the filter of heightened lascivious passions and polyamorous relationships. I was listening to a musical breakdown of tchaikovskys symphony 6 and they interpreted it as being his deep sadness about his lover and homosexual life. Again, it completely shrouds the meaning of music and the spiritual heights that it communicates. I've have a friend who will not listen to Wagner as he thinks he is a racist, yet he will not read wagners books let alone listen to his music or operas. The reasoning power of individuals who truly think heights that can be achieved by these individuals in their music can be reached by bitterness and lust. As though talent and genius can is achieved arbitrarily and by chance.

Maybe it is understandable why Shakespeare hid his private life and identity as much as he did. His work truly speaks volumes.
