Dear Instructors or any Student,
could someone please provide a description and/or definition of what a Chain is?

I wish to be able to explain it concisely not only in English, but also in the other languages I can speak. Translation is not always easy.

Thank you!

A chain is a group practice where we lock hands, left palm up, right palm down, in order to invoke divine energy.

The left hand receives solar force. The right hand transmits.

Our heels should be locked, pressed together, with the feet facing out. This forms a grounding, such as with electrical current.

Just as a chain has many interconnected links, each practitioner in the chain contributes to the flow and transference of Christic power.

If a link is weak, then it might be more difficult for the chain to have effect, unless the missionary leading it is very conscious and allowing the Being to command.

The leader of the chain recites prayers that are repeated by the students. The power of the Word, when utilized with chastity, is tremendous, calling upon divinity to manifest in our deeds.

There is only one chain that is permissible to students who are working to enter Second Chamber, and that is a chain for the irradiation of love:

"May all beings be happy! May all beings be joyful! May all beings be in peace!"

It is not recommended for beginners to lead chains. This is why this exercise has always been practiced and lead by qualified initiates who are very serious in the Gnostic work of the three factors for spiritual revolution.
