I'm not very familiar with Dantes inferno, I do know he explored klipoth, was that his choice or did he have to descend first before ascending. Why was he exploring klipoth and is it safe for us to experience these realms without trapping our consciousness there or descending sephiroth.
Personally I believe psychedelics serve an important purpose in lifting our consciousness even if our visions occur in hell. They can take an atheist and remove him from his vessel or help him investigate his mind. I also believe that people can reach higher sephiroth via psychedelic use however this is extremely rare and requires much internal discipline.
I believe a huge portion of your students were iniated via psychedelics, they did a survey on American Buddhist in the 80s or 90s, and it turned out over 90% of the practicing students claimed that psychedelics is what iniated their spiritual seeking, not that psychedelics are spiritual awakening nor did they recommend them.
I know from personal experience i would still be agnostic if it were not for DMT. I believe the most growth I received in my life was when I was using them, yes majority of my experiences were hallucinations, but occasionally we get lucky and are alighned for something truthful, healing, or divine, when it occurs you know it. However most pyschdellic users have very little control of their minds and are usually along for wherever the mind takes them, it can be dangerous, I understand that, but if we are only observing, is it safe for us to explore, even if we are entering our lower realms.
Also what is the opinion of Alex Grey, he has an immaculate imagination, creates beautiful art, however much of his visions occur under pyschdellic influence, but not always. I look at his art and within me i feel he receives visions from god, not fantasies of his negative imagination. I'm confident in this since he has visions that have captured the future. Please view his art if you're not familiar, it really is one of a kind, I don't believe the psychedelics are causing him to journey klipoth, unless his desire is too be a prideful famous artist, but we would never know what's happening within him.
I don't agree with Samuel 100%, nor should we unless we experience ourselves. There's only a few things that make me hesitant on Samuels perspective, his disapproval of psychedelics is one of them. Majority of psychedelics experiences occur in klipoth, but only because majority of users are grounded to malkuth and gravitate towards klipoth, however those who have control of their minds can learn to shed the ego and ascend with psychedelics help.
So really I'm looking for more psychedelics opinions even though this has been regurgitated countless times and whether it's beneficial to explore lower realms since we users with weak control on the mind will often get tossed wherever the mind goes.
