My understanding is that every manifested thing from the Ain "downwards" exists because of everything else (including the Ain), all of the elements that were/are manifested by the Ain are connected in such a way that they support each others existence.
In the physical dimension this would translate into; All of the elements that surround me and that are in me contribute to my existence within this realm, without the air I would not breathe, without the earth I would not be standing here, without water I would not have fluids, without heat there would be no warmth, since the minerals, plants and animals are composed of these elements as well, if it were not for them existing, most of us would have no food, without water this planet earth would be much different, we would not be here, likewise if the sun was not shining, or if the orbit of our planet was slightly modified due to other factors, we might not be here.
Contemplating the interdependence of all these elements (not just physical but energetic and spiritual), there is a sense that the whole of existence is one entity with many parts that depending on their function and quality extend into their corresponding dimension, a good example would be us (as above so below), the humanoid organism, a vastly complex structure composed of many parts that are inferior and superior in quality, we not only have the physical elements but also the energetic and spiritual as well, this naturally leads me to a periphery understanding of Emptiness, a vague sense that this manifested structure (existence in all of its levels) exists parallel with that which is non-manifested and that every point in existence is springing forth from that which we call emptiness, so that the absolute/emptiness is in reality touching everything.
How does the law of interdependence relate to cause and effect (Karma)? It would seem that these two are intimately related.
Since we hear that emptiness really means that all things are empty of inherent existence, meaning that there is no-thing that exists by its own accord, the interdependent nature of all things appears to be the law that keeps everything together so that they do not suddenly stop manifesting, does the law of interdependence also govern the relationship between form and no form, the manifest and non-manifest, since one cannot exist without the other?
