In various books it says the Kundalini rises acordingly to the merits of the heart. What does this mean more specifically?

Kether, Chokmah, Binah, are Father, Son and Holy Spirit in us, they relate to the brain.
Chesed and Geburah are our Spirit and Spiritual Soul respectively, they relate to the lungs.
The air that we breathe through our lungs is related to Aleph, the three solar breaths of Akash, namely: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Akash is in the air or oxygen that we breathe and that purifies our Spirit and Spiritual Soul in the lungs of our body, sequentially the oxygen in our lungs contains the Solar Logos that purifies our blood; so, the blood is the vehicle of the Solar Spirit-Christ. Thus, as the heart distribute the blood in our organism; likewise, through our heart the will of God distribute righteousness to humankind.
Thus, the merits of the heart are the virtues of all of these archetypes, namely: Kether, Chokmah, Binah, Chesed, Geburah and Tiphereth, our particular heaven.

Kether is the Mercy of Mercies
Chokmah is Devotion
Binah is Silence
Chesed is Charity
Geburah is Heroic Action
Tiphereth is constant Sacrifice for others

Aleph:
“The Spirit breathes where he wills, and you hear his voice, but you do not know from where he comes and to where he goes; so is every one who is born from The Spirit.”

And no one has ascended [his Kundalini] into heaven, but he [the Spirit] who descended out of heaven, [who acts through] the Son of Man [a soul devoted to Christ], who is [our embryo of Soul, part of Tiphereth, the human Soul] in heaven.

And [this is how] as Moses lifted up the [Kundalini] serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man [a soul devoted to Christ] be lifted up: so that everyone who be [and] lives in him will have eternal life. – John 3: 8, 13-15
