Hello! I'm a long-time reader, first-time poster here on Gnosticteachings.org... I've been doing Dream work for about 3 years and when I stumbled upon your dream-yoga subsite my practice accelerated, and I've been a follower ever since! I have successfully astral projected various times... however, each time that I've done it I cannot stay in that state long enough to do any of the things I intend to do (like visit interesting locales, go to the Gnostic Church, or maybe another planet...) Indeed, every time I separate the astral body from the physical body I start moving around and then the dream environment instantly changes! Here's my technique:

1.Go in lion position (or something similar)

2.Fall asleep, staying vigil the whole time

3.Separate the astral body from the physical body as soon as I begin to feel it

I have astral projected more than 10 times, and this is a very consistent problem. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Learn to meditate. I also began these studies through Dream Yoga, and what was essential for achieving success in the tantric dream state is knowing how to control the mind throughout the day and to deepen that introspection through the science of meditation. Meditation awakens the chakras and feeds the heart; it also strengthens the psyche so that in those subtle dream states you can take advantage of them in order to investigate the mysteries of life and death. See our meditation course, as well as the lecture series: Meditation without Exertion, for assistance.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
