Can we choose to connect with our divine or not to? Isn't it in all of us and it just takes the intention to connect to ?
To wish for or choose this connection is different from actually achieving such a connection. Our connection to divinity is established through meditation: The Science of Awakening
"Meditation is an open doorway within the human being, that opens the way to personal knowledge of any phenomenon in nature. Through the scientific and practical technique of meditation, one no longer needs to believe in anything: one can know.
Meditation is an exact science based on real and tangible energies that are natural to the human being. That which gives us life is the consciousness. By awakening the consciousness, we activate all of the possibilities of the human being."
"If thou canst not make thine own self what thou desireth, how shalt thou be able to fashion another to thine own liking. We are ready to see others made perfect, and yet we do not amend our own shortcomings."
—Thomas à Kempis

But, is the first step to choose that connection? I feel very sad if the people who do not meditate can not experience the connection. Isn't the divine in all of us whether we are concious and meditating or not.??
If we are alive I feel that there is a part of the divine that s alive as well. Of course we want to achieve our potential but I don't want to feel like meditators are better than non meditators. I teach young children, and a huge part of their success is believing in them. And telling them that they are already an amazing human being is so beneficial for them. Doesn't Buddha say that we are already enlightened and that we just don't know yet? I really want to nurture positive results and potentials in others but so many give up with lack of confidence in themselves or a low self-esteem. I can not force meditation or expect formal meditation in anyone but I can show them what they already have so they know they can and are great. Sometimes starting small can inspire great confidence. We don't start out painting masterpieces. All children scribble before they can draw. So I really want people to have faith, confidence, and trust in themselves starting wherever they are and accepting and loving them where they are. If they think they have to do something different then they are not connected to what they already are.

Sadly, wishful thinking is not enough to take us to heaven, to reunite us with our inner divinity.
As Master Jesus taught us,
As Master Jesus taught us,
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

For some students at certain times, encouragement and positivity can be helpful, while for other students it may not be. To know what each student needs in a given moment requires an awakened consciousness.
