In the above quote, does "coitus" refer to "sexual union between a male and a female involving insertion of the penis into the vagina" or " the act of sexual procreation between a man and a woman; the man's penis is inserted into the woman's vagina and excited until orgasm and ejaculation occur?"
When developed, the pineal gland converts us into super-humans, and when atrophied, it converts us into idiots. The pineal gland is found developed within the chaste, and atrophied within the fornicators.

Therefore, good disciple, if you want to convert yourself into an angel, you are totally prohibited to perform any type of coitus. - Samael Aun Weor, Zodiacal Course, "Aries"

The coitus he is referring to here is not the sexual connection itself, but rather the loss of the ens semenis (the essence of the semen), the orgasm.

In order for true chastity to be developed in its fullest form, the sexual connection is necessary, but must be performed without the spilling of the seed.

I recommend studying The Perfect Matrimony (see link below).
