I've been dealing with an obstacle in meditation that I'm trying to find the antidote for. In the past week I've been getting this agitation that takes control of the motor center. I can feel it intensely in my body from my neck and sometimes it goes as far down as my legs and feet. I can't seem to get past this because the sensation is so intense that I have to move. This is a new obstacle after I've made some other changes to my behaviors. So I suspect that its a resistance from the ego. I've stopped drinking coffee and switched over to green tea, even make sure I only drink the tea once in the mornings. I don't know if it has something to do with stimulants or because I use my motor center so much at my job. It happens more on the days I've worked all day and I've come home to meditate. Would this be covered by the antidote for excitement/agitation no matter what center it's in? What's the best way to handle this?

Your vital body is agitated and thus the way energy is flowing causing these experiences in the physical body.

Working with your breath is the best way to get the energy to flow correctly - this is called pranayama.

There are different types of pranayama. You can start with a simple one:

From the Practical Spirituality course on Pranayama:

Working with your A typical Pranayama uses alternate breathing: you breathe in through one nostril, hold the breath, exhale through the opposite nostril; then you breath in through that nostril, hold the breath, and exhale through the opposite nostril. In this way you are directing energy up one side, down the other; up one side, down the other. If you are preserving your sexual force, that energy is what will cycle through those channels and clean them.breath is the best way to get the energy to flow correctly.

Yes I've been working with pranayama for a few months now. I recently started working with the Egyptian pranayama after working with the one from The Major Mysteries for some time. Maybe I should practice more then. I've only been doing the 7 pranyamas as Samael instructs plus the mantra Ra while in the posture on the floor. I do have a restriction in the flow of energy because of my tubes being tied which I'm working on reversing with a doctor. I will study those links. Thank you.
