I was contemplating why some people are content with living a very basic life. Why was it that some people are never fussed about having drugs or being promiscuous, as if it is all normal. Then at some point I thought, is the only reason why I care so much because my past lives are so sinful that I have so much to make up for in this life, thus my occult interests insue etc. Is this the case? Does this mean my life is going to be harder than most others? I suppose this would make sense as Master Samael often talked about how 'dangerous' the path of the razors edge was. How painful and tough it would be.

He who increases knowledge increases sorrow. The more sin we have to contend with, the greater our achievement will be if we renounce suffering and work on the ego. The fact that you feel spiritual inquietudes shows you that your Innermost is pushing for change, that you have suffered too much, and that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is already ripe. Many people need to mature more before they can enter Gnosis, for the ultimate catalyst for maturity is suffering.
Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.
Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
