Something cowardly and sinister paid me a visit in a dream early this morning. I'm not sure what it was or why it was. It seemed like a legion of voices. Here is what happened. First- I dreamed that I was taking a bath in a restroom of an old house. There were accent lights all around that were glowing, blue lights in particular. I fell asleep in the tub and awoke in a bedroom in the old house with sunlight coming through the window. The bedroom had blue walls and tall/ old storm windows with white curtains. There was a half egg shaped digital alarm clock with an ipod port on it and the clock read 7:50 AM. suddenly- I heard what sounded like a bunch of women and girls giggling at me- all kinds of laughing sounds; but, I couldn't find where they were. I seemed to look at the clock for a second or two and I was seeing women and girls in long robes trying to appear- they kept fading in and out. Then- the laugh turned to a very disturbing tone. It had a squeaky/ chimpunk like tone and sounded like a group of voices all in multiple tones and keys speaking at once. And the voices suddenly said " look at him- he thinks he SO powerful! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Mr. powerful! HA HA HA HA HA! He thinks he's so powerful! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! I immediately realized something was going on while in the dream. For some reason- I did this automatically without consciously even thinking about doing it I was not lucid..... I said : Helion, Melion, Tetragrammaton and began forming a flaming star. The voices all screamed at the top of their lungs with a horrifying and eerie roar and ran away- allowing me to wake up. I will have to explore the meaning of this myself; however, any insight is appreciated. It could have been something I'm fighting within myself or it could have been external. Any ideas?

Personally, I do not like to tell students the meanings of their dreams without first having them investigate on their own, since students should learn to become independent, autonomous and skilled in the art of dream interpretation. Oftentimes students go to instructors looking for a quick answer, when the most profound dreams do not have one. They may require years of meditation before unveiling their mysteries to our superlative consciousness. Only you can really know what you experienced. What this experience does show you, however, is the terrifying power of the name of God!

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
