I have watched the Gnostic documentary film, “Sex: The Secret Gate to Eden” and I learned that the word Christ is a title as if you were calling/introducing someone mister (Mr.), miss (Ms.), mistress (Mrs.), etc.

How is that title used? Is the title Christ used in a similar way as is with Mr., Mrs., Ms., etc.? If so, when does one carry that title?
