"Enjoying" negativity

All unawakened people experience negative emotions.

For many, those negative emotions leave a "bad taste in the mouth."

Others seem to relish the negativity. They enjoy feeling angry, jealous, etc, almost seeming to thrive off of it.

Why is this? Is it the egos enjoying getting "fatter" so to speak?

Yes, the ego enjoys when it is fed, and many enjoy the sensations of desire.

This is the result of ignorance, a lack of discrimination or consciousness into such behaviors, which inevitably produce a lot of suffering.

However, most don't see this because they don't question what they experience.
