According to their deeds, they would receive some rewards for their actions. However, they would also suffer in proportion to their ego and sleeping consciousness. Thus, such a person might briefly poke their head out of hell, but inevitably falls back in.

As for the sleeping unconsciousness, I was originally thinking that with enough Dharma/good karma, this could potentially provide a rebirth (albeit unconscious) into a similar or slightly better existence e.g. in the physical plane, in another galaxy, as a humanoid extra-terrestrial who can continue Dharma. On top of this, I originally thought that with enough good karma, this would also over ride the entry into the inferior realms, even when there remains some ego. However, I see now that that is not the case since the inferior realms only exist as long as the ego's exist, since they are one in the same.

I may make another post in the future questioning the rebirth in those realms since I so far am not witnessing much hell in my dreams and do not experience such hellish karmic repayments within my waking life either.

Therefore, the conditioned parts of the psyche are in the hell realms now, in levels, according to their density. The upper regions of that world are not "hellish," since they merely reflect the less dense aspects of the psyche. The first level, for example, is practically indistinguishable from the physical world on a visual level. That is why when dreaming people do not realize they are dreaming or in the submerged worlds.

The best way to confirm all of this is to meditate and practice dream yoga.

Ah right right I get what you mean by rebirth and the continued perception of the other realms within us. I continued reading the book on hell last night and found out that limbo was actually the first inferior level.

If I'm correct, in general, for the Gnostic who didn't reach full liberation during there last humanoid life, there experience of the inferior realm would be at the lowest sphere, rather than the mild limbo like many of their previous life experiences, since they are beginning the entire cycle anew and must again climb through mineral, animal, and so forth?

No. The process of devolution is a slow painful descent through all of the regions of the submerged worlds.
