I'm kind of curious to hear other people's experiences with the lower realms as I am waiting for my book on hell to arrive. I've only had hellish dreams that carry a modern horror movie kind of aesthetic; blood, sexual harassment, abstract imagery and ominous terror but, nothing typically akin to near death experiences people claim to have had on interviews and TV and so forth.
It is intriguing however to hear people having experiences that are akin to biblical imagery and similarities; first being sucked upward or downward out of body, then a horrific stench accompanied by rivers or lakes of fire, people burning for years on end, demons with physical traits that correspond to our ego...

I'm also curious whether or not some of that imagery comes from Akash (shared information originating from other beings would explain the more cliche experience of hell)
Maybe that is impossible because the inferior realms are subconscious where as Akash is way up in the causal plane...
