The natural course of human evolution occurs through the rising and falling of seven root races.

The endings of the Polar and Hyperborean root races seem more peaceful than the destruction of the Lemurian and Atlantean root races. Is this due to the negative karma generated by the Lemurian and Atlantean races?

If the Lemurians had not fallen to lust, and the Atlanteans to black magic, would the transition between those root races and the next root race have been more peaceful and less cataclysmic?
Cataclysms always happen in nature, yet whether we chose to transcend them is another thing!

Yes, the Lemurians and Atlanteans had it bad, because they did not repent after having fallen. So the consequences were much more disastrous for them.
