How do we develop this? I understand someone who consciously loves a loved one, would not be deflated like the average perosn would be, when that loved one dies.
I always think of my loved ones dying and how that would totally crush me, I want to reach that stage where, say a loved on dies, I wouldnt be crushed but rather conscious that it's a naturaly process in life.
Would a more awakened being or an awakened being be sad, cry, if his child dies? To be honest i don't really get it.

We develop conscious love by comprehending and annihilating the obstacles that bar it: hatred, fear, vanity, pride, laziness, lust, etc.

When the ego dies, love is born and grows, fed through the power of chastity!
