Why is it necessary to be so harsh when describing humans who may sometimes be unknowingly traveling on paths that will not lead to evolution, the discovery of their innermost, or to their own ascension to higher planes of consciousness? I understand that factually homosexuality (as I have been reading, and listening to the teachers in Glorian website) does not contain the proper keys to unlock the sexual potential, nor will it allow us to ascend. But is it necessary to use such harsh comparisons about gay people, as if they were all worthless.
I've heard that many gifted talented people throughout the ages were gay. Leonardo DaVinci..etc Maybe they were not on the path to "Gnosis", but many were, and are good people on a path, sometimes trying their best, often contributing some good to the world. I have heard that Samael sat with demons. I know Jesus forgave and lay with Mary Magdalene, and had love and empathy for all sinners, including those who tortured and killed him.
I think there is much confusion in this day and age. Much misinformation. I myself chose to be with women at a young age. Not because I was attracted sexually, but because I was repulsed by the way that society treated women, and the way that the men I was with viewed and treated me. I always knew that sex was sacred. In a culture that does not have the appropriate attitude about the value and sacredness: of women, of men, of the sexual act (its purpose), of just about everything...people are trying to find their way in the darkness! It hurts to read answers to questions students pose and refer to any being that is lost in darkness with such lack of compassion and contempt.
I have heard some teachers talk about how many good, great people end up descending due to lack of attending to the destruction of all their desires and living egos. And that many demons become the greatest of higher beings, if they return to take the up the journey of ascent. When I hear "fornicators" "mutants" Degenerate homosexuals" etc it is like the fire and brimstone of many christian based religious zealots who have lost their way. And I wonder what if there is someone trying to find their way that feels the sharp door slamming in their face, spitting on them , and shutting them out. To speak about the facts, logic, symmetry of the law is one thing. To judge and condemn is another. With enough work, heart, will power, practice, determination, compassion...do we not all sit upon the precipice of every moment that contains the possibility of leading us to a place of "knowing" the truth and "experiencing" the way? I wish there was a different way, a more compassionate way to address the issue of homosexuality, and all those who have not yet found their way "home". Adriana

If our responsibility as Gnostics is to lead homosexuals out of their darkness, is it wise to simply say "degenerate" to their face? Won't their "I" revolt violently and deny any form of help if we do this, instructor? When I read the causes of homosexuality I see some very mistaken victims. Does being cruel and using strong words teach homosexuals on the right path?
