In certain article of this website, I don't remember exactly where but it said if we don't help others we aren't allowed to advance in these studies. This is something that makes me reflect because I've been selfish. I have tried to practice many times (this time would be a re-beginning) and not helped others that much.
Would helping out more often at home be considered a way of sacrifice? There are many things I could do, but I don't because of selfishness and laziness. What about being attentive to others' words? Personally, I like to listen to other people. But I guess this isn't enough.
Thanks for your help!

Sacrifice for humanity involves some type of service on our part that benefits the soul of a person. It doesn’t necessarily have to be teaching Gnosis, but providing some kind of benefit that is particular to our idiosyncrasy, skill sets, disposition, character, strengths, etc.
