Extend "timeout" for posts.

<p>We need to encourage students to value the Word. There are multiple problems with having such a fast timeout that requires you to log back in again.<br /><br />1) I'm more tech savvy and even I was duped the first time this happen. I didn't understand what had happened, I went back to try and post again and it gave the same message (which I did not understand for some reason) then I left having completely lost that momentum.<br /><br />2) I'm not sure why the timeout is so important. Is it some security concern? It seems to me that we need to weigh the costs and benefits. People shouldn't have to log back in just because another might be negligent and leave his browser open on a public computer.<br /><br />3) One might copy and paste their message into notepad to try and save it but when they transfer it back over it might have problems with word wrap, leaving them having to work on the word wrap instead of focusing on the Word like they should be doing.<br /><br />4) The only real way to combat it is to copy the message (like selecting all this text that I'm typing), to copy it. Then they have to go all the way back and log in, then come here again and paste it. Then type in the title again.<br /><br />5) The hassle of all this is very disruptive to the environment. People might be meditating in order to make these posts, or they might have invested a lot of effort into it. They shouldn't be punished because they lack the education on computers.<br /><br />6) If they have a problem with this, they might dismiss the place as buggy and not write future posts.<br /><br />So the timeout should be extended to at least a half hour or even forty five minutes or more. It's not a big deal for someone who can quickly get used to it, but you don't know who could be posting here. The tradeoff is that people could be logged into public computers, leave their browser open and then some random person comes and find it. That seems unlikely. I'm not sure how exposed someone's Facebook, twitter etc would be through this thing either.<br /><br />Anyways, just some things to consider. If I'm having trouble with it then there is a chance that it's a total nightmare for other people.</p>
