Dear Instructors,

I have a question about finding a partner.

I am a single man in my late twenties with quite a quiet life of work, family and a few friends. It's an enjoyable life however I don't really make the effort to go out and meet new people or expand my circle of friends.

As a single man, should I be making the effort to get out there, to meet new people, and join new clubs in search of a partner? Should I be pro-actively looking?

Or should I focus on the psychological work and just wait for someone special to come into my life?

Any help or guidance is always appreciated.
Much love.

You can search all you want out of loneliness and animal need, but divinity will grant you a partner based on your level of being, your karma, and your work.

We accelerate the process of meeting our partner based on conscious works and voluntary sufferings...

However, this does not mean we live in a cave, isolated from humanity. We must be in the world, but know that your partner will arrive based on the psychological qualities you've developed in yourself and in accordance with the will of divinity.
But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. -Qur'an, Surah al-Nur Verse 33

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
